Usually I just put the botanical name. But I have found it can be useful to give height and colour especially when moving a plant in combination with others as it enables you to avoid blocking out the shorter transfers. In the nutritious soil at Winsford herbaceous plants will often grow larger than the norm. In a garden open to everyone the biggest problem with labels is petty theft.

This garden looks so lovely - I've been trying to get there for some time to visit, but somehow my work keeps taking me overseas. I will get there one day and really look forward to seeing all your wonderful work.
